Reconditioned machines

Reconditioned Meheen machines, rebuilt in Belgium

We buy used Meheens, strip them, rebuild them, run them, write them up and sell them. Our stock rotates constantly — machines come in, get rebuilt and go out — so a list on a website would be wrong within a fortnight. Ask us what’s on the floor instead.

Price transparency

From EUR 30,000, and you can work that out tonight

Tell us the bottle format, roughly how fast, and your country. You’ll get a straight answer — including “nothing right now, but here’s what’s coming” when that’s the truth. Every enquiry comes with an invitation to see it, in person or on video.

Worth saying on this page: if what’s stopping you is the bottle rather than the capacity, that’s a different page and roughly a tenth of the cost.

Parts held in the EU

Shipped DAP. No transatlantic freight, no import paperwork, and VAT handled as a domestic transaction.

12-month warranty

On every part we supply, with the exclusions written down rather than buried.

We were owners first

We bought a Meheen before we ever worked on anybody else’s. Every machine we touch gets written up.

Why there’s no stock list

It would be wrong within a month

Machines arrive when they arrive. A rebuild takes as long as the machine needs. Some go before they’re ever advertised. Keeping a page honest about all that is a job nobody here has time to do properly, so instead of a list that’s quietly out of date you get a person who knows what’s in the workshop today.

Ask, and you get one of three answers. Yes, here’s what we’ve got. Not now, but something’s coming and here’s roughly when. Or no, and here’s why what you need isn’t something we’re likely to have — which is worth hearing too.

What we mean by reconditioned

The word covers everything from cleaned to rebuilt, so here’s ours

Stripped and assessed. It comes apart and every subsystem gets looked at properly, not just tested to see whether it still runs.

Wear items replaced. Seals, O-rings, fill valve components, pneumatic wear parts. Not only the ones that failed — the ones that are the same age as the ones that failed.

Rebuilt, not modified. We put it back to doing what it does. We don’t upgrade it, change what it does, or add anything it didn’t have.

Run and written up against its serial number before it’s sold, and photographed while the work is happening.

Sold with a 12-month warranty on every part we supply, with the exclusions written out rather than buried.

The models

The M6 is the one most European craft brewers land on

It’s a very good machine and it’s the most compact thing in its class, with dissolved oxygen and total package oxygen figures that hold up against equipment costing a great deal more.

We work on and handle M2, M2CE, M4 and the Merlin N-Series as well, and what’s here at any moment varies.

The last row matters more than the rest. Almost nothing in the filling end can wear out mechanically. What wears is a seal or a valve component. That’s why these machines are still running decades on, and why buying a rebuilt one is a reasonable decision rather than a gamble on somebody else’s wear.

A Meheen is a crown-cap machine. It doesn’t cork and it doesn’t cage, and no kit changes that. What it will do is run either crown size, 26 mm or 29 mm.

What we say about certification

We restore what the machine does. We don’t change its function, and we don’t add or re-issue any CE certification.

Buying from another country

You’re sending money to Belgium for a machine you haven’t touched

Being careful about that is reasonable, and the answer isn’t for us to insist we’re trustworthy. It’s to take the reasons for worrying away one at a time.

Every machine we touch gets photographed as we go. The gallery is what that looks like.
  • Come and see it run. Standing invitation, in the workshop.
  • Can’t travel? We film it. Photos and video of the machine running, sent to you.
  • Clear payment terms. Written into the quotation, no surprises.
  • 12-month warranty on every part we supply, exclusions written down.
  • Written up against its serial number, not against the model.
  • A published account of what happens if it turns up wrong, which is the part most people skip.

DAP anywhere in Europe. Freight quoted with the machine rather than added afterwards. VAT handled as a domestic EU transaction rather than an import.

Questions we actually get

The ones worth answering before you write

How much is a reconditioned Meheen?

From EUR 30,000. The real figure depends on the machine and what it needed.

What have you got right now?

It changes too fast to publish. Tell us what you need to bottle and we’ll tell you what’s here and what’s coming.

Do you sell new machines?

No. We buy used ones, rebuild them and resell them. New Meheens come from the manufacturer in Colorado.

What warranty comes with it?

12 months on every part we supply. What’s covered and what isn’t is written out in plain language.

Can I come and see it?

Yes, and we’d prefer it. If you can’t travel we film it running and send you the footage.

Can it do cork and cage?

No. A Meheen is a crown-cap machine. It runs either crown size, 26 mm or 29 mm, and that’s the extent of it.

Is it CE certified?

We restore what the machine does. We don’t change its function, and we don’t add or re-issue any CE certification. What that means for your country and your installation is something we go through per machine at quotation, in writing, rather than claiming on a web page.

Do you buy machines?

Yes, that’s where the stock comes from. If you’ve got one to sell, send a photo.

Can you install and commission it?

Yes, and train your operator. Quoted with the machine.

What if I need a format the machine doesn’t run?

Say so in the enquiry. A format-change kit from EUR 1,000 can go in the package, and it’s much better decided before the machine ships than after.
