We’re new at this, so we show our working
We buy and sell used Meheens. We started as brewers who bought a Meheen because it was what we could afford, learned it because we had to, and spent years fixing them for friends before making it the job. That’s a short history and we’re not going to dress it up. So instead of asking you to trust us, here is everything we do to make trusting us unnecessary.
Parts held in the EU
Shipped DAP. No transatlantic freight, no import paperwork, and VAT handled as a domestic transaction.
12-month warranty
On every part we supply, with the exclusions written down rather than buried.
We were owners first
We bought a Meheen before we ever worked on anybody else’s. Every machine we touch gets written up.
The invitation is open and there’s nothing to arrange
The workshop’s in Belgium. Any machine we’ve got, you’re welcome to come and watch it run. Bring your own bottles if you want to see it fill yours. Bring your own engineer.
We offer it because a seller who won’t let you look is telling you something. Most people can’t justify a day and a flight for a first look, which is what the next part is for.
Photos and video of the actual machine
Everything we propose, repair or rebuild gets photographed and filmed as we go, and you get it. The machine running, the fill section working, the crowner doing its job, and the serial stamp legible so what’s in the video is provably what’s in your quote.
What we can show depends a bit on what we’ve got here. We can’t run your bottles if we haven’t got your bottles, and we won’t pretend otherwise. But you’ll see the actual machine working, and if there’s something specific you want on the video — a particular speed, a close-up of the part you’re worried about — ask and we’ll film that.
“We’ll send photos later” isn’t a safeguard. Seeing it run is. For a machine we build or change to order, that comes after the deposit, as set out below.
Two cases, and we tell you which one you’re in
If it’s in stock, you pay for it and we ship it. Parts, kits we already hold, a machine that’s finished — there’s no reason to complicate it.
If we have to make it for you, it’s 50% up front to start manufacturing and the balance before it leaves us. Custom work ties up material and bench time, and that’s the honest reason for the deposit.
Either way the terms are in the quotation before you commit to anything, and you get 12 months on every part we supply.
12 months on every part we supply
What’s covered
Any part we supplied that fails in normal use within twelve months of delivery. We supply the replacement.
What isn’t
- Consumables and wear items used up in normal running. Seals past their life, filters, anything with a replacement interval.
- Transit damage you didn’t flag. Inspect it on arrival and tell us the same day. Damage reported weeks later can’t be pinned on the lorry.
- Damage from air that’s out of spec. The machine wants roughly 15 cfm at 90 psi (25 m³/h at 6.2 bar), dry and clean. Components killed by moisture from an inadequate air system aren’t a machine failure, and we’ll tell you before delivery if we think your air is going to be a problem.
- Somebody else’s modifications, or repairs that change what the machine does.
- Misuse, accident, and anything that isn’t the machine.
We write the exclusions down because a warranty is only worth what it leaves behind. Anyone who lists what’s covered and stops there is counting on you not reading the rest.
Against the serial number of your machine, not against the model
What we inspected, what we replaced, and what we left alone because there was nothing wrong with it. Photographs of your actual machine, marks and imperfections included. The video. The specification as it is rather than as it’s catalogued.
And we keep it. Come back in three years for a seal and we start from what we already know about your machine rather than from your memory of it.
We restore what the machine does. We don’t change its function, and we don’t add or re-issue any CE certification. We don’t extend that sentence. Regulatory questions about a specific machine, a specific installation and a specific country get gone through per unit at quotation, in writing. If you need a position stated for your jurisdiction before you buy, ask, and we’ll tell you what we know and what we don’t.
A Meheen is a crown-cap machine. It doesn’t cork and it doesn’t cage, and no kit changes that. What it will do is run either crown size, 26 mm or 29 mm.
Pieter is the engineer who’ll be looking after your Meheen
He does the work and he answers the emails. No first-line support, no ticket queue, nobody sitting between you and the workshop. When something goes wrong after delivery you’re not explaining it to somebody new.
Pieter brews, and he has done for seven years. He trained as an electromechanical technician after that and came to us out of it, which is the order that matters: he knew what a bad fill does to a beer before he knew what causes it inside the machine.
The part most sellers leave out
Machines get shipped by people, across borders, on lorries. Sometimes something’s wrong when it arrives. Pretending otherwise would be the least believable thing on this page, so here’s what we do.
Damaged in transit
Check it on arrival, before the driver leaves if you can, and tell us the same day. Photograph everything, packaging included. Prompt notice is what makes a transit claim work, and it’s the one part of this where the clock is genuinely against you.
It doesn’t run the way it ran on the video
The video is the reference, which is why you have it first. Tell us what’s different and send us footage of it doing the wrong thing. We diagnose it at our cost and we fix it — remotely if that works, with a part if it’s a part, and with somebody travelling to you if that’s what it takes.
Sometimes it isn’t the machine
The two commonest causes of “it doesn’t work” after delivery are compressed air that doesn’t meet spec and a bottle that isn’t what we were told it would be. If that’s what we find, we tell you and we tell you how to fix it. You don’t get charged for a fault that turned out to be a diagnosis.
And if it’s genuinely not what you were sold
Then it’s our problem and we make it right. We won’t hide behind the fact that it’s used equipment.
What we won’t do
Tell you it’s out of warranty when it isn’t. Send you to a manufacturer we aren’t affiliated with. Or stop answering. You’ve got Pieter’s address, not a support queue.
It would be easy to write some. We haven’t got verified ones, so what’s here instead is a list of things you can check: a workshop you can visit, a video made before your money moves, terms in the quotation, a warranty with its exclusions published, a serial number and a named person.
When there are real customers willing to be quoted, they’ll appear here with their names on. This business grew out of doing favours for friends, so those people exist. They just haven’t been asked yet.
About us, and about the machine itself
What’s actually good about a Meheen?
It’s mechanically simple in the place that matters. Nothing in the fill section turns or grinds against anything else, so there’s very little that can fail expensively. It’s the most compact machine in its class. The dissolved oxygen and total package oxygen figures hold up against equipment costing a great deal more. And most of what’s in it is standard industrial componentry, which is why a machine built decades ago can still be kept running.
And what isn’t good about it?
Four honest things. It runs on compressed air, so it’s only ever as good as your air supply — wet or dirty air causes more faults on these machines than anything else. It’s a modest-speed machine, up to about 2,160 an hour, so if you need a great deal more it isn’t the answer. It crowns and nothing else. And used ones have usually been adjusted by two or three previous owners with nothing written down, which is why we photograph and document everything we touch.
Can it do cork and cage?
No, and no kit changes that. Crown caps only, in 26 mm or 29 mm. If your product has to be corked and caged, this is the wrong machine and we’d rather tell you now.
Would you buy one yourself?
We did. That’s how all of this started.
Can I really just come and look?
Yes. Belgium, our workshop. Bring your own bottles and your own engineer. No charge, no obligation.
What if I can’t travel?
We photograph and film what we’re proposing and send it to you. What we can show depends on what we’ve got — we can’t run your bottles if we haven’t got your bottles — but you’ll see the actual machine, running.
How does payment work?
If the parts are on the shelf, it’s paid in full and we ship. If something has to be made for you, it’s 50% to start manufacturing and the balance before it leaves. Written into the quotation either way.
What does the 12-month warranty cover?
Every part we supply. Not consumables, not transit damage you didn’t flag, not damage from air that’s out of spec, and not somebody else’s modifications. The full list is above.
What if it arrives damaged?
Photograph it and tell us the same day. Prompt notice is what makes a transit claim work.
What if it doesn’t run like it did on the video?
Send us a video of it running wrong. We diagnose at our cost and put it right.
Are you CE certifying the machine?
No. We restore what the machine does. We don’t change its function, and we don’t add or re-issue any CE certification.
Why no testimonials?
Because we haven’t got verified ones and we won’t write fake ones.
How new are you?
Full-time since 2025, after years of doing it for friends. We say so rather than letting you work it out.
Come and see it run, or we’ll film it for you
