Meheen spare parts, worked out from a photograph
There’s no parts catalogue on this site and that’s deliberate. These machines have been in service for decades, previous owners have modified them, and the same model year can carry different components. A part number copied off a website is how the wrong part ends up in a box.
Parts held in the EU
Shipped DAP. No transatlantic freight, no import paperwork, and VAT handled as a domestic transaction.
12-month warranty
On every part we supply, with the exclusions written down rather than buried.
We were owners first
We bought a Meheen before we ever worked on anybody else’s. Every machine we touch gets written up.
Photograph the part, or the area it sits in, and tell us what the machine’s doing. That’s enough. Add the serial number if it’s to hand — it helps, but we hold only a partial register of serials, so we’d rather have the picture.
A photo, what the machine’s doing in your own words, and your country. No part number needed — that’s our job. Answer within 24 hours.
This is what replaces a catalogue
Fill valves and the fill section
Valve seals and seats, sealing surfaces, fill tubes, vent and snift components, springs and actuating hardware, bottle sealing gaskets. This is the highest-turnover category on any Meheen, and the one where condition drifts slowly enough that machines live with it far too long.
Nothing here turns or grinds, so nearly everything that fails is a sealing or pressure component. These wear items are simple replacements and don’t require a rebuild.
Symptoms levels dropping or varying head to head · dripping at rest · one head that foams when the others don’t · fills getting slower.
Seals, O-rings and elastomers
Full seal sets or single items, across the fill valves, pneumatic cylinders, product path and CO2 circuit. Material specification matters here more than anything else: food-contact compliance, CO2 resistance, and the temperature the seal actually sees in your process rather than the one on a datasheet.
We spec by material and duty and we tell you what we’re supplying and why. If you’re running an unusual product or an unusual CIP regime, say so, and we’ll make it compatible.
Symptoms weeping at rest · slow pressure loss overnight · a seal you’ve already replaced twice this year that keeps going.
Pneumatics and air preparation
Cylinders, valve blocks, solenoids, regulators, fittings, lines, filters, dryers. A Meheen needs roughly 15 cfm at 90 psi (25 m³/h at 6.2 bar), clean and dry, through a dryer and a coalescing filter.
This is usually the most neglected subsystem on installed machines by far.
Symptoms fine in the morning, bad by mid-afternoon · no-longer-smooth movements · visible moisture in the lines · sluggish or inconsistent cylinders.
Crowner components
Crowner head parts, magnets, crown feed and chute components, for both crown sizes. A Meheen crowns and does nothing else, so if your crowns are misapplied or your bottles leak after crowning, this is the problem.
Symptoms crowns misfeeding or double-feeding · caps seated crooked · crimp varying across the run · closures leaking on inspection.
Bottle handling and conveyor
Grippers, centring and locating hardware, guides, conveyor drive components, wear strip, across the 53–76 mm bottle range.
Worth saying: if you’re moving to a bottle the machine has never run, that’s a format change rather than a spare part, and it’s a different page.
Symptoms breakage at infeed · bottles not centring under the head · handling that got worse after a bottle supplier changed.
Other spares and sensors
Pressure sensors, presence sensors, temperature sensors, switches, valves, timing and sequencing components, wiring hardware, push-fit/John Guest connectors. Older machines have often been reworked by previous owners, so this is where a photo of the actual installed part saves the most time.
We’re not an OEM channel and we don’t pretend to be
Most of what we fit is original SMC/Festo aftermarket, sourced and fitted by us. Some things we do have to buy from the manufacturer. The controller is the clearest example: the box itself is ordinary industrial hardware, but the program running on it is theirs, so a controller change goes through Meheen. We state the component sources transparently when ordering.
“Compatible parts” gets said loosely in this trade, so here’s what it means when we say it.
We’ll name the supplier. Where a part is a standard industrial component — a cylinder, a solenoid, a regulator, a seal in a standard material — it comes from a recognised manufacturer, and the name goes in the quote before you buy rather than after. The four we buy from most: Festo and SMC for pneumatics, AutomationDirect for control hardware, IFM for sensors. Beyond those, John Guest for acetal push-fit fittings and Kuri Tech for braided PVC hose.
Components we fit
We spec by material and duty, not by lookalike. Whether a seal lasts comes down to the material against the real duty: product contact, CO2, temperature, CIP chemistry. That goes in the quote too.
Fitted or not, your choice. Plenty of our customers do their own maintenance and just want the part. Buying one doesn’t oblige you to buy a callout.
A part number tells us what somebody thought was fitted. A photograph tells us what is actually in front of you. On machines this age those two things disagree often enough that we built the whole intake around the second one.
It also means your enquiry doesn’t need a follow-up before anyone can act on it. You describe the fault once, however makes sense to you, and the next message you get is a price and a lead time rather than four clarifying questions.
And we keep the record, so next time we start from what we already know about your machine.
We hold parts in Europe
We’re not a warehouse and we won’t write like one. Wear items move fastest: seals, O-rings, fill-valve components, common pneumatic parts. Everything ships DAP.
Realistically that’s 24 hours to six weeks, depending on the part and where you are. We tell you which end you’re on before you commit. If something has to be made or specially sourced, you’ll know in the first reply.
Parts are quoted one by one. We don’t band them, because your enquiry is already specific and a category price would tell you nothing. The prices we publish are the ones that can be published honestly: machines from EUR 30,000, format kits from EUR 1,000.
We restore what the machine does. We don’t change its function, and we don’t add or re-issue any CE certification.
Meheen M2, M2CE, M4, M6 and Merlin N-Series. Not sure which you’ve got? Photograph the machine. Identifying it is free and it’s the first thing we’d do anyway.
The ones worth answering before you write
I haven’t got a part number. Can you still help?
That’s the normal case and it’s how the whole page works. A photo and a description.
Do I need the serial number?
Not really. Send it if it’s to hand, but we hold only a partial register of serial numbers, so it doesn’t identify a part on its own. The photo is what does the work.
Do you sell genuine Meheen parts?
Most of what we fit is original SMC/Festo aftermarket, sourced and fitted by us. Some things we do have to buy from the manufacturer. The controller is the clearest example: the box itself is ordinary industrial hardware, but the program running on it is theirs, so a controller change goes through Meheen. We state the component sources transparently when ordering.
Will a compatible part affect my machine’s compliance?
We restore what the machine does. We don’t change its function, and we don’t add or re-issue any CE certification. Like for like in function.
How long will it take?
24 hours to six weeks, DAP, depending on the part and where you are. The real figure comes in the quote.
Can I get a price list?
No, and not because there’s one we’re hiding. Parts get quoted against the fault you describe. The prices we do publish are machines from EUR 30,000 and format kits from EUR 1,000.
I need a part for a bottle the machine’s never run.
That’s a format change rather than a spare part. Send it here if you like and we’ll route it, but you’ll get a faster answer from the format check.
Can you fit it for us?
Yes, or supply it and leave you to it.
Do you keep a record of my machine?
Yes, so your second enquiry is faster than your first.
Send a photo. We’ll work out the part.
No part number needed, and the serial only if you have it. Answer within 24 hours.
