What Meheen parts actually look like

Photographs rather than a catalogue, grouped by where they live on the machine. They’re here to show you the sort of thing we deal in, not to be ordered from. What’s on the shelf changes, and the right part for your machine depends on your machine.

The shelf · illustrative A shelf of real Meheen parts, laid out on the bench
Eight subsystems

Grouped by where they live on the machine

Not sure which of these you need? You don’t have to be. Photograph it and tell us what the machine’s doing.

Bottle seals and fill-tube hose for a Meheen bottling machine

Bottle seals and fill-tube hose

The wear items on a filler that’s running

Moulded bottle seals in two fill-tube sizes, food-grade silicone hose and the clamps that go with them. They sit where the bottle meets the head. When they harden or flatten you get short fills, or one head foaming while the rest behave. Yours may not look like these.

Crowning cylinder seal kits for a Meheen bottling machine

Crowning cylinder seal kits

Three kits, and the difference is the cylinder

Two cylinder lengths for the four- and six-head machines, current and older style, plus the two-head kit. The difference between the first two is the cylinder length, not the machine — which is exactly the sort of thing a supplier who doesn’t know these machines gets wrong. Photograph the cylinder if you’re not sure which you have.

Air filters, mufflers and quick exhaust for a Meheen bottling machine

Air preparation and exhaust

Most of the machine’s maintenance

Regulator filter elements, oil mist elements, brass mufflers, quick exhausts and breathers. The machine runs on clean dry air and nothing else — no motors, no gearboxes, no bearings in the fill section. Air preparation is most of its maintenance.

Off-gas and snift orifice run tees for a Meheen bottling machine

Off-gas and snift orifice fittings

The part behind foaming at fill

Run tees with and without an orifice, for four- and six-head machines and for two-head. Orifice sizing is what governs foaming at fill. These aren’t generic tees, and they’re the most common wrong part we’re asked to replace.

Push-fit fittings, flow and speed controls for a Meheen bottling machine

Pneumatic fittings, flow and speed control

Sized and specified, not catalogued

Push-fit elbows, unions, tees and Ys, inline flow and speed controls, brass adapters, barbs and bulkheads. Acetal push-fit from John Guest, quick exhaust from SMC. We stock these by size and material rather than by catalogue number, so tell us the tube size and where it sits.

Poly tubing colour set for a Meheen bottling machine

Poly tubing

The colours aren’t decoration

Tubing in three sizes and the full colour set, plus off-gas flex tubing and Kuri Tech braided PVC for the brite tank connection. The colours are how you trace a circuit on a machine somebody else re-plumbed. We supply by the metre and as a pre-cut assembly.

Separator bars, landing plates, magnet hub and guide rail for a Meheen bottling machine

Bottle handling and crowner mechanics

Usually one worn part rather than a fault

Separator bars, crown landing plates, grabber plate springs, the magnet hub and its shaft, guide rail brackets, clamps and clips, and casters. Crown misfeeds and bottle jams are mechanical. Guide rail hardware in particular is most of what a format change consists of.

Rinser nozzles, rods and pump for a Meheen bottling machine

Rinser

Worth checking on an imported machine

Drilled nylon nozzles, brass post crown nozzles, rinser rods, back plates, the submersible pump and its cord. Mains voltage matters more here than it sounds — it’s the sort of thing overlooked on a machine imported from the United States, so tell us what yours runs on.

Illustrative · not a catalogue

No part numbers, no prices and no stock levels on this page. Part numbers on machines this age are unreliable, prices depend on the part, and stock moves — any number here would be out of date by the time you read it.

Tell us what you’ve got

A photograph of the part or the area it sits in, and a line about what the machine is doing. The model and serial if you happen to have them. We’ll work out what it is, what it costs and when it can be with you. If it’s something we don’t carry, we’ll say so and point you somewhere that does.

Send a photo. We’ll work out the part.
