Meheen machines are no longer being made. Yours can keep running.
The manufacturer has said it will stop by the end of 2026. That’s news if you were about to buy a new one. For a machine that’s already on your floor it changes surprisingly little: a Meheen is pneumatics, sensors, seals, stainless steel and a stock controller, and nearly all of it can be sourced, made and fitted independently. That’s our job. We’re in Belgium and we work on Meheens across Europe.
What changes, and what doesn’t
Nothing about your machine changes on 1 January. What goes is the factory behind it: no new machines, and no more parts or help from the people who built it.
Most of what wears on a Meheen was never exclusive. Valves, cylinders, fittings and tubing are standard SMC and Festo pneumatics. Seals and gaskets can be matched. Machined parts, from filling heads to format parts, we make here from the original or from measurements.
The controller is the harder part. The box itself is ordinary industrial hardware, but the program on it was the manufacturer’s. We keep spare controllers here, and we’re working on longer-term options for when those run out.
All of this applies to the M2, M4 and M6 alike. They’re the same machine with a different number of heads.
Five things to do while everything still works
-
Photograph the machine
All sides, the control cabinet open, and the place the serial is stamped if you can find it. Older Meheens have no nameplate, so the photos are your identification.
-
Write down your settings
Fill times, pressures, the recipe screens on the HMI. Ten minutes with a phone camera now saves a lot of guessing later.
-
Keep a spare of whatever failed twice
Look at last year’s repairs. Seals and the valves that see the most cycles are the usual suspects.
-
Keep the paperwork
Manuals, wiring diagrams, any program file you were sent. Store a copy somewhere that isn’t the brewery office PC.
-
Back up the controller program
While the machine still runs, save a copy of the program. If you’re not sure how, send us a photo of the control cabinet and we’ll tell you what’s needed.
What we do for Meheen owners
- Repair and servicing, in our workshop or at your brewery when that makes more sense. Repair and service
- Parts, identified from your photo and quoted one by one. 12 months on every part we supply. Parts
- Format-change kits for a new bottle, from EUR 1,000. The exact figure depends on the machine and what it needs, so ask us for a quote. Format changes
- Reconditioned machines, from EUR 30,000. The exact figure depends on the machine and what it needs, so ask us for a quote. And we buy used Meheens, if you’re stepping up or stopping bottling. Machines
A Meheen is a crown-cap machine, 26 mm or 29 mm. That doesn’t change either.
We’re independent. Not affiliated with, authorised by, or an agent of the manufacturer. We’ve kept Meheens running for years without it, and that doesn’t change.
Since the announcement
Can I still get parts for my Meheen?
Yes. Most wear parts are standard pneumatic and sealing components, and we make the machined ones. Send a photo of the part and the area around it.
What about the controller?
We keep spare controllers here, and we’re working on longer-term options for when those run out. If yours is still working, back up its program now (step five above). If you don’t know how, ask us.
Does this apply to the M2 and M4 as well?
Yes. The M2, M4 and M6 are the same machine with a different number of heads. Everything on this page applies to all three.
Should I sell my Meheen before it loses value?
Only if you were going to anyway. A working machine with a source of parts and service stays a working machine. If you do sell, talk to us: we buy them.
Do you need my serial number?
It helps, but it’s optional. We hold only a partial register, and a photo usually tells us more.
Do you come to us?
When a visit is the right answer, yes, across Europe. Most jobs start with photos and an email, and a lot of them end there too.
Tell us what you’ve got
A photo, a line about what the machine’s doing, and the serial number if you can find it.
